    These knuckles come all the way from Portugal with the following story:

    Hey my name is Lawrence, and I´m a body piercer/mod from Lisbon (Europe’s Black Hole) where every day thousands of children’s get killed from guns related crimes, coz its a hell right here.

    The reason of my knuckles tattoo is very obvious coz my life sucks! I work everyday, from 9 a.m to 9 p.m and I´m a student by night, and I live with my parents. Oh yeah did I mention that I broke my shoulder at work with 10 days left to my vacations and I have done 4 sacrifications jobs with a broken shoulder and no treatment except alcohol? I think when other body mods break their shoulders they just cancel their books and just go home. Like you can see i’m a really thug! Btw, this is all true, except the part of the thousands of children´s getting killed everyday 🙁

    Some times in the course of this project, I meet the nicest people. I’d like to introduce y’all to Sega. He works down at Oat Willie’s, one of Austin’s finest head shops. He explained that he had spent some time homeless and always enjoyed life no matter the circumstances. One hell of a nice guy. Thanks for letting me take the photo!

    I met John Man at the hardware store the other day. He is a recent Austin transplant from Alaska. He says that he decided to get his knuckles tattooed at age 20 while climbing mountains in Alaska. He realized that he was living the life he wanted and that not every one really does.

    They are pretty self-explanitory, he loves hot rods, motorcyles, and well burn outs so BURN OUT!  was a pretty easy choice.

    I know this is a cliche knuckle tattoo, but my story behind it is my uncle and one of my best friends, who was a huge influence on everything i do today, had this exact tattoo on his knuckles, and he ended up committing suicide, so its kind of ironic…this is my way of remembering him, among others

    My name is Dev and I’m from Baltimore, Maryland. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, I went through chemo-therapy, and my cancer is currently in remission. While being treated for my cancer I realized how short life really is because I was only 26 at the time of my diagnosis. My chemo traetments were successful, giving me a second chance at life. So I decided to get the tattoo “live life” on my knuckles. I choose to get it on my knuckles so everyone could see it, because i really mean what it says. People often get tattoos in places where they can cover them up for jobs or to be accepted by certain people, but I say fuck that life is short live it to the fullest and do what you want to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
